BBC Editorial Guidelines e-learning case study

These online modules complement the release of the BBC’s revised Editorial Guidelines which outline the standards expected of all BBC content on TV, radio and online. The modules are available for all BBC staff as well as the entire UK independent media production sector - around 15,000 people will complete the modules this year.
The e-learning encourages learners to reflect upon and carefully consider the application of judgement relating to editorial guidance.
The programme shows e-learning at its best, using a rich mix of audio, video, engaging interactions and photographic imagery carefully crafted to reflect real dilemmas faced by programme makers. Scenarios require learners to make decisions in difficult 'grey' areas and to consider the full impact of these choices in order to develop and refine their editorial judgement.
