'In a general sense, my job is about conceptualising a
programme with a view to making it as clear and stimulating
as possible for the user. This involves thinking visually
as well as considering how the content should be structured.
'A fair amount of my time is taken up with scriptwriting
- providing content for the programme. This isn't necessarily
typical - most people in my job have design backgrounds,
but the role is flexible enough to accommodate people with
all kinds of skills.
'Most mornings I don't really know what I'm going to have
to do when I get to work, and I enjoy that. It's a creative
job, one that forces you to think on your feet.
'Epic is responsive to people's strengths, so you always
get the feeling there's a good chance you'll be able to
do the kind of work you're interested in. I've got some
experience in video production, and I got to use those skills
recently on a big project.'
