'Basically, what I do involves the Web, intranets and
extranets. But that could mean pretty much anything. There's
such a wide range of stuff - coding html and Javascript,
designing databases, writing Coldfusion and ASP scripts,
configuring servers and building pages.
'It's a lot like plumbing - you get to work on the infrastructure
of something, the stuff people can't see. You know all
the ins and outs of how it works when the final product
is completed.
'I like the variety in the job. I get to work for lots
of different clients using lots of platforms. Also, the
sense that you've actually completed something counts
for a lot.'
