Web Business Development Manager

Job Description:

Our Business Development Managers are a key part of the Epic Team and lead our work on selling web solutions to clients. This involves building successful relationships with clients and working with the development team to deliver the required web solutions.

Main Duties:-
·Creating and following up on leads from exhibitions, talks at conferences, referrals etc.
·Building a pipeline of prospects through regular networking and relationship building to ensure Epic is included on all ITT’s, framework contracts and select lists
·Meeting with potential clients to understand their requirements
·Developing a creative solution to meet the client’s needs through winning proposal documents, working closely with the Epic Production team
·Presenting and selling professionally and confidently to clients
·Building strong relationships with clients

Desirable:
·Undertaking consultancy work for clients, as appropriate to develop web solutions which will improve their organisational performance

Skills Range: Experience/Attributes·
Ability to sell content managed web solutions
·At least five years similar experience in a Software / New Media / Web agency or similar·Good understanding of the needs of the public sector including procurement
·A solid understanding of website design & usability issues.
·Ability to provide pre-sales product support
·Excellent analytical, presentation, communication and organisational skills.

Experience in one or more of the following sectors:
·government·education
·education
·health
·financial services

Job related Knowledge, skills and abilities
·Sales prospecting
·Ability to understand and assess client needs & develop creative solution
·Ability to communicate, orally and in writing, in a clear, concise and effective manner
·Ability to present to senior audiences & proposal writing skills
·Ability to develop key accounts
·Sales closing – good negotiation skills and handling contractual issues
·Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with clients
·Ability to use powerpoint, excel, office systems
·Influencing skills ·Ability to build effective relationships with Production
· Project management
