Epic for Scotland
Epic, the UK's leading e-learning company, today
announces the appointment of Lorn Campbell as Business Development
Director. Lorn has been brought in to head up the company's operation
in Scotland, and is based in Edinburgh.
This appointment reflects the growing strength of
Epic above the border, where the company has important clients such
as The Royal Bank of Scotland, Scottish Enterprise, and the University
of Dundee.
Prior to joining Epic, Lorn was Sales & Marketing
Development Consultant at Heriot-Watt University, a recognised leader
in e-learning within the academic sphere. He also has broad commercial
experience both in the UK and Canada.
Epic CEO, Donald Clark, said: 'We have been
operating in Scotland for many years, but this is the first time
we have established a commercial base in Scotland. It is a growing
market, with activities across business, government and education
- areas in which Epic has experience and expertise.'
In addition to its Scottish CEO, Epic also has a Scottish
board member, Ian Ritchie. Ian is a well-known entrepreneur
and angel investor, based in Edinburgh.
Ian Ritchie said: 'Epic has had an excellent reputation
in Scotland for many years, and has undertaken some of Scotland's
largest e-learning projects - for example, through our relationship
with The Royal Bank of Scotland. I am delighted that we have now
opened a Scottish office, and look forward to developing our presence
further in the future.'
