EpiCentre wins sole supplier status for Nelson Thornes
EpiCentre, the testing arm of Epic, the UK's leading e-learning
company, has been awarded sole supplier status by Nelson Thornes
for all future testing work.
This adds to Epic's increasing strength in the educational market.
Nelson Thornes is one the biggest players in educational publishing
for schools in the UK and their parent publishing group, Wolters
Kluwer, owns the largest cluster of educational publishing companies
in Europe.
The relationship between EpiCentre and Nelson Thornes dates back
over a year. It was always the company's intention to try out several
test companies over the first year then select one for an ongoing,
long-term partnership. At the end of this process, Epic emerged
as the chosen sole supplier.
Reasons cited for the choice of EpiCentre include consistently
high quality testing, excellent project management and flexibility
in resourcing at late notice.
Kate Davidson, E-learning Producer of Nelson Thornes said: 'We
have been very impressed by the level of service provided by Epicentre
over the last year. They have always been very helpful and flexible
and we feel confident that they will test our CDs thoroughly'.
Donald Clark, Epic, said: 'This is a significant vote of confidence
in the skills of EpiCentre, not only only a technical level but
in the all-important area of customer service, and confirms EpiCentre's
position as the lead test centre in Europe.'
