Epic program selected for BIMA awards
Epic has been shortlisted for a BIMA award (Banking and Financial
Services section) for a programme developed for the BBC: "Finance
for non-Financial managers". The awards will be announced at
a dinner on 23 November.
The programme is an innovative Flash game in which the user is
a busy manager constantly beset by staff demanding budget. The manager
has to make all the decisions while a timer ticks away the seconds.
If a decision is not made in time, you have to start again. The
programme makes innovative use of animated character, humour and
game play.
The programme is used as part of the BBC's leadership programme
for over 5,000 senior manager. BBC Worldwide are currently looking
at working with Epic to create a generic version of the programme
for resale.
