EpiCentre awarded contract from Becta
EpiCentre has been awarded a new testing contract by Becta for
the National Learning Network Round 4 Materials development. This
will involve the testing of content from a range of third party
suppliers.
Epic’s EpiCentre has an unrivalled reputation in testing
e-learning content against accessibility, interoperability and usability
standards. With a huge range of client kit and network configurations
content can be tested across a range of computers, networks, operating
systems, screen resolutions and other configurable delivery environments.
EpiCentre is ISO9001 accredited with trained testers and an online
test service.
Having worked on two rounds, EpiCentre has established a long-standing
relationship with Becta.
EpiCentre’s competitive price, value for money and in-depth
technical knowledge were all cited by Becta as important in securing
the new contract.
Ewen Rubython, EpiCentre Manager, said:
“I am delighted to have won this new contract from Becta,
building on a successful relationship established over several years,
and demonstrating our focus on high quality work, exceptional value
and technical expertise. We are excited to have the opportunity
to continue working on these important learning materials and look
forward to helping Becta ensure that all their materials are of
the highest quality.”
David Prescod, Senior Project Manager at Becta, said:
“We have been pleased in round 3 with the efficient service
which we have received from Epicentre. Our requirements for technical
testing have increased compared to previous rounds, in particular
in the area of accessibility. Epicentre have demonstrated that they
are sufficiently skilled and resourced to provide the same efficient
service in meeting our increased required service.”
