Epic CEO wins award

ITEC 2005, held at the Amsterdam RAI Centre from April 26th to 28th is Europe's largest training and simulation conference, with a focus on defence. It was also a surprise, albeit a very pleasant one, that during the keynote speech, it was announced that Donald Clark, CEO, Epic Group plc had been voted Speaker of the Year for the previous year's conference, ITEC 2004.

Mr Clark had given a well-received presentation in 2004 on e-learning and and said of the accolade "It was great to be recognised as having something of value to say in the defence sector. We have delivered some outstanding e-learning and simulation work in this area recently. This also confirms our position as a knowledgeable supplier."

This year, Mr Clark gave presentations entitled 'The NEW Military-Entertainment Complex' and 'Can e-learning be used to train softskills?'. These speeches, also well-received, showcased some of the more recent simulation-based programmes that Epic is producing within the Defence sector and have again led to Mr Clark's nomination for Speaker of the Year 2005.
