Anglia Ruskin University and Epic join forces to cut student debt
Ashcroft Interntaional Business School at Anglia Ruskin University have joined forces with Epic - specialists in e-learning, to offer an innovative leadership programme -You Lead, which offers an alternative to traditional undergraduate programmes.
With the headlines full of student debts and the added pressure this year of students having to pay Tuition fees, You Lead offers a different route to a recognised University qualification. The programme is delivered through flexible blended learning and offers the opportunity to study whilst at work - the first year is completed at distance using You Lead.
You Lead is a unique leadership portal, which gives organisations a focus for leadership development with over 30 hours of learning. You Lead offers the chance for learners from across the organisation to meet online and discuss leadership issues and share knowledge.
You Lead has been designed and written for all organisational leaders. The purpose is to give leaders the tools to enhance their leadership potential and the drive to advance skills in the workplace.
Designed to emphasise work based learning this programme also meets the government agenda for widening participation HEFCE (The Higher Education Funding Council for England) state that 'Our aim is to promote and provide the opportunity of successful participation in higher education to everyone who can benefit from it. This is vital for social justice and economic competitiveness. Widening participation addresses the large discrepancies in the take-up of higher education opportunities between different social groups.'
Ashcroft International Business School and Epic feel that they have designed a programme that can offer a real alternative to studying full time at University, and which will appeal to all age groups.

Ashcroft International Business School are validating a framework of programmes, based on work-based learning and application, which can be delivered through a flexible and blended learning route in Autumn 2006.
