Update: Epic will exhibit at ITEC
from May 16th to 18th at ExCel, East London.
Epic’s partnership approach has been successfully helping
MOD progress its operational and strategic training and education
objectives, as defined in the Defence Training Review, for a number
of years. As a preferred MOD supplier on the dblearning enabling
agreement, Epic has developed a wide range of effective and engaging
blended learning and e-learning solutions for military and civilian
personnel, from technical training for DCCIS to soft skills development
for dblearning. Our consultants have provided advice on blended
learning programmes and delivered a series of workshops on blended
learning design.
Epic designs and develops e-learning solutions for deployment on
DLP and DELC systems and our technical specialists have provided
pragmatic, best-practice advice to MOD during the development of
the new DCSORM standards. Our innovative e-learning content includes
SIMsoft branching video simulations for soft skills development,
3-D animated environments and mobile learning, including interactive
learning nuggets and animated games delivered on PDAs.
Epic regularly supports a wide range of defence related training
conferences, as an exhibitor and guest speaker, including ITEC,
Online Educa, the RAF TBT Symposium at Cosford, the Army Training
Support Conference at Winterbourne Gunner, Scaling Up E-Learning
Symposium at Shrivenham and a range of dblearning events. Epic's
Donald Clark has been a guest speaker at ITEC since 2004 and at
I/ITSEC in 2005.
Epic always goes the extra mile by providing free, impartial support
to MOD. We have run Think Tank dinners, bringing together key players
in the e-learning arena from across the Department. Our white papers
and guides have been a source of inspiration and information for
MOD personnel involved in policy definition, process development
and masters degrees. We have recently established links between
DGTE and Becta to facilitate MOD gaining free access to the NLN
materials developed for further and higher education institutes.
