Epic's work within Health and Social Care is extensive and includes
developments for a wide range of organisations.
Recent projects include the Electronic Guide to Good Practice on
behalf of NLIAH and a BTEC on Positive Behavioural Support on behalf
of the Directorate of Learning Disability Services. Historical projects
include Conflict Resolution, developed on behalf of Cumbria &
Lancashire SHA in partnership with Cheshire and Mersey SHA and Greater
Manchester SHA as well as the award nominated Working in the NHS
programme developed on behalf of NHSU.
Our Health division includes staff who are experienced in dealing
with those considerations that specifically impact organisations
across Health & Social Care. As well as e-learning content we
have provided consultancy services developing e-learning strategies
and supporting communication services for the public health sector.
In the private sector, our work includes Heartbeat Product Knowledge
for Bupa, a high quality online programme created in under five
weeks from initial brief to signed-off delivery.
Epic has years of experience in healthcare on a wide range of therapeutic
topics including; cardiology, oncology, orthopaedics, neurology,
psychiatry, radiology, pathology, palliative care and health economics.
We have produced online training for a wide range of healthcare
professionals, including; consultants, hospital physicians, general
practitioners, nurses, midwives, health visitors, radiologists and
pharmacists.
Medical education programmes have included; cardiology, oncology,
orthopaedics, gastroenterology, pulmonology, opthalmology, neurology,
psychiatry, radiology, pathology, palliative care and health economics.
Epic produced a series of education programmes on IV Therapy and
Cannulation, Resuscitation and Manual Handling. The courses, which
come complete with workbooks and facilitator's guide, are for use
by all nurses, midwives and health visitors in the UK. This programme
won a British Medical Association (BMA) award.
