An Epic workshop
Learning design workshop programme: get up to
speed, at speed
Designing and developing effective blended learning
solutions is at the heart of what we do at Epic. We’ve captured
our knowledge and expertise into a unique sequence of Learning Design
Workshops, designed to build your capability.
Where do you want to take your learning development team?
- Up the capability curve in blended and e-learning?
- Towards a partnership model, taking more ownership of design,
scripting or development tasks internally?
- Into competence in a specific aspect of blended learning implementation,
from stakeholder engagement through to evaluation?
How will you get there?
Whatever your goal, then learn from Epic consulting’s experience
and accelerate yours by joining our new Learning Design Workshop
Programme.
Who is it for?
Whether you are part of a mature learning organisation looking
to take your learning strategy to the next level or are relatively
new to blended learning, you will find the Learning Design Workshops
programme relevant for you.
- Training managers and project managers who
need awareness and appreciation of blended and e-learning to become
more informed champions and managers of blended and e-learning
projects.
- Designers and developers who need practical
hands-on skills in specific aspects of blended learning design
and development.
How does it work?
As you’d expect from Epic, this will be a blended, engaging
experience. Each workshop will have four components:-
Live Workshop session: run by experienced Epic
consultants, each workshop will be a mix of best practice presentation,
discussion, demonstration and group exercises.
Work-based assignment: each workshop requires
a live assignment; where appropriate, based on an active or prospective
project in your organisation. Hence you emerge with usable documentation
and resources. You will also create a learning blog as you work
through the workshops.
Project shadowing: participants will get a unique
insight into how blended learning design and development is put
into practice, by virtually shadowing a live Epic project through
its development phases in sync with the Open Workshop Programme.
This will include:
- Access to Epic team members for each phase (e.g. buddying with
an e-learning designer as they develop a design solution, or a
graphic artist as they develop an art direction).
- Access to “video diaries” showing how blended learning
projects get delivered.
- Access to Epic work products for each phase.
Virtual coaching: an Epic learning consultant
will support you during project shadowing and assignment completion,
through email, live chat and telephone.
