The E-learning Debate 2010 will take place at 4pm on Wednesday 6 October. Click here to RSVP (Please note: places are limited).
Hosted at the Oxford Union, a prestigious 186-year-old debating society, we'll be taking the oldest of topics, informal learning, and then weaving it into a thoroughly modern debate motion about learning technologies:
This house believes that technology-based informal learning is more style than substance. The debate will be followed by a unique informal learning experience, which is sure to amuse and surprise. Led by a previous member of MIT Media Lab and current TED fellow, it has been described in just one word by the founder of Amazon.com, Jeff Bezos: "Wow!"
To round off the evening, a drinks reception will offer an unparalleled opportunity to network with those who share your interest in learning technologies.
