Some examples of our work in financial services

Epic's relationship with The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) goes back more than eight years. When RBS first decided to make a significant investment into e-learning, Epic were chosen as their partner for the development of over 200 hours worth of interactive learning content. A feature in US e-learning magazine from July 2002 describes the background to The Royal Bank's entry into e-learning and the partnership forged with Epic. More…

The Royal Bank of Scotland and Epic have continued to work closely in the development of further training. Recent programmes include Branch Manager Training & Development, Back Office Systems Training and CBFM Front Line Processes. More...

Another well-established Epic client in retail banking is Barclays. Recently Barclays University (bu) needed a programme to provide an integrated and consistent leadership proposition for junior team leaders, who may have responsibility for two to three people, up to heads of strategic business units. In partnership with bu, Epic developed 'take the lead …', a unique leadership programme which takes a blended approach, integrating offline and online means. A key component of this blend is the 'take the lead …' website, which forms a single gateway for leader development within Barclays. More…

For this client we also developed and piloted the bu 'Learning Zone' - an interactive gaming kiosk which allowed call centre staff to have fun learning both general knowledge and Barclays-specific product knowledge whilst away from their desks. The results were phenomenal - demand for the kiosks leading to their introduction across the Bank.

'Very addictive. Combining general knowledge quiz with questions on various aspects of Barclays has for me proved to be an excellent learning tool and has increased my knowledge of the numerous products we have learned'
e-learner

Epic has worked with Lloyds TSB for over four years. During the period of this relationship Epic has worked on blended learning, compliance learning, systems training, video interview simulations, induction and sales process learning with the bank.

Epic has been selected as the FSA's sole e-learning development partner. The FSA were looking for a company who understood the financial services market as well as had a proven track record in developing high quality learning programmes, and they found all this in Epic.

Current projects for the FSA include the development of a CD ROM and online e-learning programme on money laundering and a CD ROM on the Code of Market Conduct.
