Epic breakthrough on product sales
Epic Group plc, the UK market leader in e-learning, announces the
first batch of sales for the e-learning leadership course 'PRIME:
Leadership'. Initial sales are in excess of £250,000 and further
strong sales opportunities exist. Further product launches are planned
for later in the year.
'PRIME: Leadership' is a unique web-based leadership programme
that empowers individuals in developing their capacity as strategic
leaders. It takes an open-ended yet highly interactive approach
in a challenging subject, enabling users to follow their own paths
through the material. To aid this flexibility, the programme employs
a diverse range of learning methods including: tutorials, case studies,
scenario-based simulations, off-line exercises and links to qualified
sources of information.
Designed to the high standards of senior civil servants and their
equivalents in the wider public sector, 'PRIME: Leadership' thus
comes with an elite pedigree and addresses strategic leadership
at the highest level. The lessons it teaches and the questions it
raises for participants are of universal applicability across both
public and private sector.
'PRIME: Leadership' is the result of a public/private partnership
between Epic and the Cabinet Office. Content for the programme was
developed in collaboration with the prestigious Lancaster University
Management School. Lancaster is one of only two UK business schools
to have received the maximum 5-star rating for research quality
in every Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) conducted by the Higher
Education Funding Council for England and Wales since 1992 (HEFCE,
14th December 2001).
Donald Clark, the Chief Executive Officer of Epic, said: 'We will
continue to sell the 'PRIME: Leadership' product in the public sector
and will launch the private sector version in May 2002. This is
an extra dimension to our business model giving us revenues and
scalability.'
