Techinvest: Brown’s budget favours Epic
Extract from article in Techinvest, 1 April 2004
Despite announcing some big spending cuts for most government departments
in the budget, Gordon Brown pledged to increase educational spending
from £59bn next year to £77bn in 2007-8. Additional investment will
be ‘tied to reform and results’. The intention is that funds be
used to improve teaching methods, upgrade facilities and invest
in the use of IT.
This boost to education spending should bode well for IT software
and training companies who focus on the sector, such as ... Epic
Group.
