Techinvest: Brown’s budget favours Epic

Despite announcing some big spending cuts for most government departments in the budget, Gordon Brown pledged to increase educational spending from £59bn next year to £77bn in 2007-8. Additional investment will be ‘tied to reform and results’. The intention is that funds be used to improve teaching methods, upgrade facilities and invest in the use of IT.
