Category Management blend for Kimberly-Clark
Epic Group plc, the UK's leading e-learning company, has won a
substantial contract to develop a blended learning campaign for
global consumer products giant Kimberly-Clark. The programme involves
the creation of 9.5 hours of e-learning, to address staff across
Europe and internationally, and forms part of the company's category
management training program. Epic is also providing consultative
support to help Kimberly-Clark identify a suitable blend of learning
options.
Category Management is a key part of the way in which Kimberly-Clark
works in partnership with its major customers. Continual development
of skills and capabilities through training is central to ensuring
Kimberly-Clark remains at the forefront in effective implementation
of category solutions with customers. E-learning is to be used to
improve the quality and consistency of the training and also to
allow the learning to reach a wider and more diverse audience within
Kimberly-Clark.
The programme introduces, provides the context to, explains and
demonstrates both the theory and methods required for effective
category management. It also serves as a preparation tool for workshops
and other training activities, as well as supporting an organisational
change in culture towards the use of more technologically up-to-date
communication mechanisms, such as virtual teams and net meetings.
Oliver Wright, Manager, European Category Development of Kimberly-Clark,
said: 'We have been impressed by the care Epic took to understand
the drivers and background to this project, and the innovative and
solid thinking that underlies the solution produced. Category management
is an important area of skills and knowledge for our company and
I look forward to continuing working with Epic on this project.'
Ian Farringdon, Account Director of Epic Group plc, said:
'E-learning is ideally suited to support the delivery of category
management within a blended training approach. The team here has
enjoyed working with Kimberly-Clark to create a learning programme
that users can also interact with to apply their knowledge.'
