Epic takes the stress out of project management for Cable & Wireless
Epic Group plc, the UK's leading learning and knowledge management
company, has delivered approximately six hours of high quality e-learning
to be used by more than a thousand project managers within Cable
& Wireless. The project was notable for its smooth running and the
close partnership developed between the two teams and has now gone
live.
The objective of the learning is to ensure that current and future
employees are trained in all aspects of the company's Project Framework
and Product Development Process. This training is currently offered
by a three-day residential course, which is becoming less and less
viable for this geographically dispersed enterprise.
The programme is successfully integrated into the company's learning
management system, which currently supports ten thousand employees
globally. It is expected to have a lifespan beyond three years,
so Epic is additionally providing 'Refresh', its proprietary content
maintenance tool. This will enable Cable & Wireless to update the
content internally post-launch.
On behalf of Cable & Wireless, William Ward, E-learning Manager,
said: "Working with Epic took the stress out and made the whole
project a great deal easier. Their processes, knowledge and experience
get you as close as you can to a guaranteed result. The project
exceeded expectations and was delivered to budget."
Donald Clark, CEO of Epic Group plc, said: 'Project management
is a seriously underestimated skill. As an ex-project manager I
wish I had received this level of learning when I started. It's
quick, it's easy and it's useful. '
