Epic exceeds expectations
In a trading statement released in October 2003 and again in the announcement of
Epic's results for the six months to 30 November 2003, released in February
2004, reference was made to a poor order intake impacting Epic's performance in
the second half of the current financial year to 31 May 2004.
Whilst order intake for the Autumn 2003 period was disappointing,
it has become apparent that the margins achievable from these orders
will be stronger than originally anticipated and that current year
profitability will be ahead of market expectations.
Also encouraging
are current sales activity levels which continue to revert to normal
levels.
