Leading Change and e-learning
The
first Epic Think Tank on leadership and
e-learning uncovered a vital link between leadership and organisational
change. Leaders, it emerged, are agents for change. Following the
recent peripatetic tendency of Epic think tanks we moved to Edinburgh,
Athens of the North - named in Revolution magazine as one of Britain's
foremost digital clusters - further to debate these themes of leadership
and change.
In sight of a floodlit Edinburgh castle, on a night when
the fate of Newcastle United hung in the balance (distracting
the two guests vitally concerned with this contest not one
jot from the task at hand) delegates from both public and
private sectors gathered to decide the following key questions:
- When do managers become leaders?
- How can e-learning be used to develop these skills?
- What is the role of e-learning in a change programme?
