In November, Huseyin Seis, one of Epic’s digital designers, will be taking part in a 10k run to raise money for UNICEF’s Pakistan Flood Children’s Appeal.

The floods in Pakistan have already claimed over 2,000 lives, left many millions more injured or homeless, and destroyed over 1 million homes since July. The United Nations believe that the total amount of individuals affected by this disaster exceeds both the 2004 Tsunami and the 2010 Haiti Earthquake put together.

UNICEF is helping the people in flood-hit areas by providing emergency relief: clean water, food, shelter and health services, and Huseyin hopes to raise £1,000 to support their efforts.

Huseyin will be taking part in the 6th annual staging of this run, situated in the beautiful village of Beckley, East Sussex. This is what he had to say about his preparation for the event:

“Training is going really well, I've been doing a lot of skipping and sprinting to build up my endurance. I’m aiming to beat my last running time and raise as much money as possible. The main motivator for me to complete this run is seeing all the press and images of what’s happening in Pakistan.”
