Epic has been selected by Buying Solutions under the Learning & Development and e-learning Solutions Framework for both the Bespoke and Generic e-learning lots. This EU compliant framework agreement enables public sector organisations to commission training and development without the need for further procurement exercises, thus substantially reducing the administrative burden on government and local authority buying teams.

The Bespoke e-learning lot includes customised development and a full range of support services, such as blended solutions, internal capability building, secure content hosting and service desk support. The Generic lot covers Epic's portfolio of over 200 IT, management, customer service and finance e-learning products developed in the UK.

The competition was intense, with scores of e-learning suppliers submitting bids for each lot, so to be selected alongside only a handful of other organisations is a major achievement. Epic's Strategic Solutions Director, Tracy Capaldi-Drewett, commented, "We are absolutely delighted to be selected for the Buying Solutions framework. It's a fantastic endorsement of the quality and breadth of our offering. It should bring real value for money to our public sector clients, whether they're looking for an e-learning solution 'off the shelf' or one that's built specifically to their requirements."

Tracy is positive about the impact of this framework. "Our experience to date in being part of the Buying Solutions frameworks is very positive. I have no doubt that the two-part e-learning framework will deliver extensive benefits across government. The frameworks are backed up with a range of tools, online guidance and helpdesk support delivering major savings in time and cost in government procurement."
