In this challenging economy, business must be ever more creative to ensure it stays ahead of the game in terms of workforce knowledge and skills. That's why Epic, the UK market leader in bespoke e-learning, has teamed up with leading academics at Oxford University to hold a special seminar looking at how technology can be best deployed for future learning.

The seminar is to take place in Oxford on ‘Learning at Work' Day, Thursday 14 May. Ten Epic staff, including senior instructional designers, software developers, and consultants will be present to discuss and debate their latest thinking on learning technologies with Oxford University's leading experts in education, including their Head of E-Learning Research, Dr Chris Davies.

Epic's Director of Learning, Dr Naomi Norman says ‘Epic is always striving to find the best ways for technology to support and improve learners' experiences and deliver better results, both for our clients and for our staff. This is a rare opportunity for so many experts to join together and discuss where technology can continue to help us do this.'

Both Dr Chris Davies and Dr Naomi Norman believe this event for ‘Learning at Work' Day marks the beginning of a very exciting relationship between business and academia, offering new insights and opportunities to move thinking forward for both Epic and for Oxford University.

‘I believe it is these kind of creative ideas and innovative ways of working that are going to be essential to Epic maintaining its competitive advantage in challenging times, and to the recovery of the wider UK economy going forward', says Jonathan Satchell, Epic's CEO.
