What does a Lead Tester do?
I manage the internal testing team. We make sure clients receive excellent quality products, by putting the e-learning programmes and websites through various tests.
Testing ensures the programme works on specific browsers and operating systems. We also do functionality testing which means making sure all the buttons work and take the user to the right place. Content, grammar testing and proof reading is also included.
Biggest challenge?
Keeping the information channel between testing and the rest of the project team flowing smoothly. Our schedule relies on theirs so I need to make sure we're kept up to date if there are any changes, which there often are!
Best thing about Epic?
The faith the company have shown in me. I've gone from a casual tester to Senior Lead Tester in 2 years - that's quite an achievement!
