What does a Senior Designer do?
I work with clients to create a design which meets their business needs and the needs of their learners. I then work closely with the team at Epic to ensure the design is realised, keeping in constant contact with the client and subject matter experts to ensure it fulfils their requirements.
Biggest challenge?
Every project is different, so at the beginning there's a lot to take in. Not just the ways of working with the client, but the content itself. To create an effective design I need to understand the content - so I have to try to become an expert in the subject very quickly, which isn't easy.
Best thing about Epic?
The people. There's a really good team at Epic and working together we come up with some great solutions. I've learned a huge amount since I started and am very fortunate to have such strong support from my colleagues.
