What does a Developer do?
I assess whether a project is technically feasible within the constraints of the client’s environment - is the network fast enough to run the graphics they want, for instance? All these things affect the look and feel of the programme so it’s important we get the technical specification right.
Biggest challenge?
Keeping up with the pace of technology. New stuff is always coming onto the market. I need to understand it and be able to explain it to clients.
What helps you do your job?
Google! It’s my best friend. About 30% of my time is spent problem solving/researching so I spend hours online looking for answers.
