Epic gets smart with mobile learning
Whether working alone or in collaboration; passively reading or activity engaging; wanting to record written notes, spoken thoughts, or a visual image: smartphones can do the lot. Now add some learning content into the mix and smartphones make for powerful e-learning tools. Also, because it’s a phone and we carry it everywhere, this is truly ‘learning on the go’!
To exploit this potential, we’ve released our first learning app for smartphones, and are giving it away FREE. Currently available as a web app at http://www.epic.co.uk/firstaider, soon to come to an app store near you for downloading, or see below...
The First Aider: mobile app
Short, two-minute silent movies tell the stories of unfortunate characters, each of whom fall victim to a different first aid emergency. It’s up to you to decide how the first aider responds, and face the consequences of your decisions!
The First Aider brings to life the newly introduced Emergency First Aid at Work certificate, but will also be of interest to anyone who believes it’s their moral or parental duty to have some first aid knowledge. We already know The First Aider:
- Makes for good learning using scenarios, graphics to support text, and engaging questions
- Demonstrates an understanding of the technology, e.g we’ve chosen the silent movie format, because many users can’t view the screen and hear sound, without earphones
But there’s always more to learn. That’s why at the end of each movie we ask for your feedback. Alternatively, click here to send us your views. Learn, enjoy, save a life, and let us know what you think!
